Vent Panels

An explosion vent is an ATEX ‘safety system’ for the venting of explosion pressure. Its efficient functioning as a safety system depends on the right venting area and the correct positioning on the process equipment. See also EN 14491.

The vent panel opens when the critical pressure level is reached, allowing air or gases to be safely released and preventing equipment damage. If required, the system can be equipped with status monitoring sensors (magnetic, inductive, or with a rupture cable) and integrated into ATEX safety systems. Additional mounting flanges and protective grids are available to further enhance safety.
