Optical Flame Detector (IR4)
The IR4 optical flame detector is designed for early detection of ignition sources in industrial processes where rapid response is critical.
It detects infrared radiation in the 900–2900 nm range and is highly sensitive to rapid intensity variations, enabling reliable flame and fireball detection.
ATEX-certified II 3 GD, the detector is equipped with field-of-view monitoring and an integrated compressed air system to reduce optical fouling in demanding industrial environments.
The IR4 can also be applied as a spark detector in extraction ducts without ambient light.
The unit operates as a stand-alone device powered by 24 VDC and provides alarm and fault signals via dry contacts for integration into industrial control systems.
