Explosion suppression

The FLASH™ System is designed for the instantaneous detection and suppression of dust explosions in industrial processes. With a reaction time of just 10 milliseconds, it prevents the development of an explosion by releasing a specially formulated food-grade extinguishing powder that neutralizes the combustion process at its earliest stage.

FLASH™ is effectively used in industries where organic or combustible solid materials are present — including the food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors. The system provides protection for hazardous areas such as bucket elevators, filters, mills, dryers, and silos, helping facilities prevent explosions and maintain safe, uninterrupted operation.

The system has a modular design and consists of three main components:

  • Explosion detectors – detect a sudden increase in pressure, light intensity, or a combination of both.
  • Controller and indication unit – analyzes the signals and instantly triggers the appropriate system response.
  • High-speed suppressor bottle – releases a powder that suppresses the explosion at its very early stage.

FLASH™ systems have undergone rigorous testing, are ATEX-certified, and comply with SIL 2 requirements as well as EN 14373:2021 and EN 15089:2009 standards.
