STIF Eastern Europe Has Completed Consultations Within the ReACT4UA Project and Is Preparing to Enter the EU Market!

The STIF Eastern Europe team has successfully completed a series of group consultations and workshops as part of the international ReACT4UA project, funded by the German government and implemented by the German federal company GIZ. The program provided us with valuable knowledge on European regulatory requirements, logistics, and customs procedures.

About the ReACT4UA Project
ReACT4UA is an initiative aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies in international trade. The project helps businesses adapt their products to EU requirements, prepare for entry into the European market, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

The program is implemented in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the Kharkiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and experts in the field of exports.

Key Consultation Topics

During the training sessions, the STIF Eastern Europe team explored the key aspects of entering the European market, including:

  • EU regulatory requirements for products and compliance with standards.
  • Certification process and conformity assessment.

EU Requirements for STIF Eastern Europe Products

As part of the program, we received detailed information about key EU regulatory acts that must be adhered to:

  • Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH) – control of chemical substances in products. If the material does not contain SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern), a separate certificate is not required.
  • Directive 2001/95/EC – general product safety requirements.
  • Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 – requirements for materials that come into contact with food.
  • Regulation (EC) No 2023/2006 – good manufacturing practices for materials that come into contact with food.
  • Regulation (EC) No 10/2011 – requirements for plastic materials intended for food contact.
  • Customs documentation: it is necessary to have a Сertificate of Movement EUR.1 or a general export certificate.

What’s Next?

  • Development and implementation of an EU compliance strategy – adaptation of processes and quality control at every stage.
  • Preparation for international certification – ensuring the necessary documentation for smooth entry into the European market.
  • Optimization of logistics and expansion of the distribution network– creating efficient supply channels in accordance with EU requirements.

We sincerely appreciate the support of ReACT4UA, GIZ, and the program experts for their strategic recommendations and practical knowledge!

Stay tuned for updates – we continue to expand opportunities for international growth!
