Spark Detection & Fire Extinguishing System (Vigi-Spark®)

The Spark Detection and Extinguishing System is designed as a preventive solution for fire and explosion protection in industrial environments where sparks, hot particles, or embers may be generated and transported through ducts, conveyors, or material handling systems.

The system continuously monitors process lines for ignition sources and reacts at an early stage by initiating suppression actions before a fire or dust explosion can develop.
It is particularly suitable for installations such as dust collectors, pneumatic conveying systems, silos, filters, and other processes handling combustible materials, ensuring protection of equipment, facilities, and personnel.

Control Unit (DC1)

The DC1 control unit is designed for operation in environments where explosive dust atmospheres may occur.
It serves as the central element of the system, managing detection signals, alarm logic, and activation of extinguishing or shutdown functions.

Each unit can connect up to four spark detectors and two automatic extinguishing modules, allowing control of a single installation or two independent process lines.

The system operates with a two-level control logic:

  • Level 1: Detection of irregularities triggers immediate suppression and visual/audible alarms
  • Level 2: Configurable shutdown of ventilation, filtration, or production systems according to safety requirements

The DC1 also performs continuous monitoring of system conditions, including water flow, pressure, valve status, and overall system integrity.

SDN Spark Detector

The SDN spark detector is designed to detect and register sparks in completely dark environments.
It is particularly suitable for monitoring ventilation systems and material transport lines where no ambient light is present. The detector is engineered for industrial reliability and features a solid metal construction, ensuring durability and stable operation under demanding production conditions.

SDD Spark Detector

The SDD spark detector is designed for detection of sparks in environments exposed to daylight or artificial lighting.
It is well suited for applications such as conveyor systems, where background light is present. Like the SDN version, the detector is built with a solid metal housing, providing high reliability and resistance to industrial operating conditions.
